Becoming a Donor is SIMPLE!
1. Check out your PA-40, line 12, from your most recent tax return to see what your PA tax liability was last year. If you see $1,000 or more, you are eligible to participate.
2. Let us know how much you would like to contribute.
3. We will connect you with one of our partner scholarship organizations such as BLOCS or the Foundation for Catholic Education depending on your contribution level.
4. Once they approve you, they will assign you the special purpose entity to which you will belong. You will make your check out to that entity, and they will earmark the funds to Roman.
5. In February, the scholarship organization will send you a K1 that you will use when filing your taxes and it will be used to provide either a refund or credit depending upon your tax situation.
6. That's it! Your out-of-pocket cost will have 10x the impact as Roman receives 100% of your donation despite it costing you less than a tenth of the total amount.
7. Consult with a tax advisor for complete information about the tax deductibility of the gift.
