Dear Roman Catholic High School Community,
I write to share an update regarding administrative leadership at Roman. In mid-May, Archbishop Nelson J. Pérez announced clerical assignment changes. Father Joseph Bongard ('77), Rector of Roman Catholic High School, has been appointed Parochial Administrator of Saint Helena Parish Blue Bell and Parochial Administrator of Saint Titus Parish in Norristown effective June 19, 2023.
Father Bongard has provided steadfast, faithful, and dedicated leadership to Roman Catholic for the last 13 years. Please join me in offering prayerful gratitude and best wishes to Father Bongard as he prepares to assume a new role in service to God's people.
The Office of Catholic Education, in conjunction with the school's Board of Directors, is launching a comprehensive search for Father Bongard's successor. This process will be inclusive and transparent. Our commitment is to identify and hire an educational leader who embodies the virtues of Roman Catholic, represents its vibrant community, and propels the vision of the school's founder, Thomas E. Cahill, forward.
Finally, please know of my continued gratitude for the sacrifices you make to provide the gift of a Catholic education to your sons and for your ongoing support of Roman Catholic. As we close out the 2022-2023 academic school year, know of my prayers for you and your families.
