Dear Roman Parents and Guardians, Late this afternoon, school administration was made aware of serious rumors circulating on campus as well as social media regarding an alleged threat against the safety of the school community. This matter was immediately and thoroughly reviewed. We write to assure you that no threat of any kind was made against the school. One of our students had commented to another that he should not come to school tomorrow because he exhibited symptoms of illness. This conversation was overheard and misinterpreted. Subsequently, rumors began spreading through the student body in a variety of ways. Roman Catholic High School is pledged to provide a safe environment for the entire school community and we approach any rumor seriously and vigorously. If you or your son ever have any concerns about the school, please be sure to contact an administrator immediately. All school operations will continue on a normal schedule tomorrow, Tuesday, December 7th. Know of our continued prayers for you and your families during this Season of Advent and always. |
Sincerely, Reverend Joseph W. Bongard '77, Rector Mr. John Curry, Principal |
