September 18, 2019 Dear Parent/Guardian:
Welcome to the 2019-2020 school year!
CORA services will continue to provide counseling services in the nonpublic schools in Philadelphia through funding under Pennsylvania Act 89. CORA school counselors will be assisting the current Roman counseling staff to meet the needs of the student body. The counseling department will be conducting individual and small group interviews throughout the year. Each interview takes approximately 40 minutes. The purpose of the interview is to get to know the students but also to familiarize them with the College Admission and Counseling Center here at Roman Catholic High School and to introduce the various guidance tools available to them.
CORA counselors are sub-contracted; therefore, we need parental consent before conducting our interviews. Due to the large number of students involved in this process, we are requesting you contact us only if you DO NOT wish for your student to participate. If you DO NOT want your student to participate in the interview process, please indicate this in writing by September 23, 2019. A short note with a signature sent to the attention of your student's counselor will suffice.
Thank you for your support and cooperation. We look forward to a great year!
