Sunday, November 10th
Roman Catholic High School
Continuing a grand Roman tradition, the annual Alumni Memorial Mass and Homecoming will be held on Sunday, November 10 at RCHS. Capitalizing on the resounding success of last year, another great day of camaraderie and brotherhood is planned and no alum would want to miss it! Mike Pelone ’77, the Event Chair, and his committee of dedicated alums have been busy all summer hoping to make this year’s Homecoming the best ever! If you have any suggestions or would like to help with the planning, please call or email Mike (215-651-2209 Mjpelone@yahoo.com)
The doors to Roman will open at 9:00 AM and all are welcomed to come early, enjoy light refreshments and walk the halls of our storied alma mater before Mass, which begins at 10:00 AM in the gym/auditorium. Our main celebrant will be Rev. Joseph Bongard ’77 with music provided by the RCHS Chorus. After Mass, there will be a brief program, with Pat Murphy ’69, acting as this year’s Master of Ceremonies. The anniversary classes of 1969 (50th) and 1994 (25th) will be honored for their jubilee year. Additionally, updates on the remarkable progress at Catholic High and the elections of new officers of the Alumni Association will round out the program.
Following Mass, there will be a full buffet and refreshments served in the library area and cafeteria with class seating. NFL games will be shown on big screens in both areas. Tours of the three buildings of the campus will be available all day and the Roman Forum (school store) will be open to purchase the latest Roman gear and apparel. Parking will be available in the garage at Broad and Wood streets across the street from school and the elevators are up and running to allow easy access to all floors of the school building.
This event was a smashing purple and gold success last year so we are encouraging every graduate to be present this year! Tickets to the event are $40.00 and can be purchased easily online on this page. Spread the word to your classmates and plan on coming back home to Roman. HURRAH!
