Greetings from Broad and Vine!

Homecoming 2018

A cornerstone celebration of Roman's rich tradition is returning to its birthplace!  The Alumni Association has chosen Sunday, November 4th, 2018 to celebrate Mass and Homecoming, which will be held exclusively at Catholic High.

Doors will open at 9:00 AM for the 10:00 AM Mass in the gym, followed by a short program by the Alumni leadership, the Rector, and the Student Council. Easy parking is available at the Hahnemann parking garage for just $3.00. Elevator service will make for quick and safe access to our gym for mass and our student ambassadors and alumni ushers will help direct the day’s crowd flow.

Homecoming commences immediately after Mass with a luncheon buffet in both the cafeteria and library. Plenty of beer, wine, and soft drinks will be served at two staffed bars and NFL football will be shown on big screens. Tours of the original 1890 building and the beautiful new Howard Center for the Arts will be available. We promise a great day to celebrate our beloved Catholic High!!

On Tuesday, September 18, 2018 Roman celebrated the grand opening and the formal dedication of The Howard Center for the Arts! This state-of-the-art facility is providing new music & choral rooms, digital and art studios, and a black box theatre--a wonderful venue to highlight the many talents of our students.  Special thanks to Barry & Elayne Howard, who have generously supported this initiative.    Phase 1 of the "Vision of Promise" Campaign is now complete!

Building on that momentum, we are now focused on Phase 2--A new  Science, Technology ,Engineering and Math (STEM) Center. To be built next to the 1890 building, The STEM Center, will provide an expanded cafeteria along with new classrooms for the advanced sciences equipped with the latest technology.

To kick-start this drive, two members of our Board of Directors have generously pledged $500,000 as a challenge grant.   Every dollar raised in the next 6 months will be matched up to 1 million!  We need your help to meet this challenge. We don't want to leave any money on the table!   Every donation, big & small is welcomed as we meet this challenge & begin this new phase. To contribute to this challenge grant, contact Patrick Plunkett, Director of Institutional Advancement, pplunkett@romancatholichs.com, 215-627-5487 ext. 312
