The FACTS Financial Aid Application for the 2019-2020 school year will be processed by FACTS Tuition Management. The application will open on October 1, 2018.

Children Educational Opportunity Fund offers scholarships to children who are enrolled in Public School and wish to transfer into a private school (such as Roman Catholic High School)

Daniel Sweeney Memorial Scholarship

Daniel Sweeney Memorial Scholarship

Daniel Sweeney was a lifelong resident of the Fox Chase section of Philadelphia. He attended Saint Cecilia’s grade school and Bishop McDevitt High School. In July, 2006, shortly after high school, he entered the Philadelphia Fire Department. On Easter Monday, April 9, 2012, Daniel and his company, Ladder 10, were battling a huge 5-alarm warehouse fire in Philadelphia’s Kensington section. While inside an adjacent furniture store a wall collapsed from the warehouse onto Daniel and his lieutenant, Robert Neary, killing them.

The scholarships are awarded each year to students who are, or will be attending a Philadelphia Archdiocesan High School. It is open to all students regardless of religion, race or ethnicity. The amount of scholarships awarded is based on the previous year’s fund raising activities and donations.

The Family Choice Scholarship organization awards scholarships ranging from $300-$1000/year to students attending private schools in the State of Pennsylvania.

Howley Scholarship

Howley Scholarship

The Howley Family Foundation Scholarship awards $3,200 annually to each recipient. The recipient must carry a 3.0 (85 or >) average and be involved in a minimum of one extra-curricular activity. Recipients will be determined by their application and their financial need based on their FACTS Grant and Aid application.

Josephine C. Connelly Achievement Award

Josephine C. Connelly Achievement Award

The Josephine C. Connelly Achievement Award is a four-year tuition grant presented to 8th grade students currently attending Philadelphia parish or regional Catholic elementary schools who best demonstrate the value of a Catholic education by striving to achieve their full academic potential. The four-year grant covers 40% of the student’s tuition. An annual review by the high school president determines renewal of the Connelly Foundation’s yearly commitment to each student. Norphans Grant

Norphans Grant

The Alumni of Northeast Catholic High School (Philadelphia, PA), the Norphan, provides $500 grants to children of North alums. Submit this application to the Roman Catholic High School Admissions Office.

Northeast Catholic Alumni Grants

Northeast Catholic Alumni Grants

The Northeast Catholic Alumni Memorial Fund provides grants to children or grandchildren of dues paying members of the Alumni Association. The grants are awarded to applicants who meet minimum academic and financial need requirements. The association awards five grants of $15,000 and five of $10,000.They are payable in equal semi-annual installments over four years providing the applicant meets minimum academic standards.

Maguire Scholarship

Maguire Scholarship

The Maguire Foundation, in partnership with the Faith in the Future Foundation, awards $3,000 per-year scholarships to students at Roman Catholic High School each year. The scholarship is renewable for each of the four years of high school, given that the Maguire Scholar maintains certain standards. Maguire Scholarship applicants must have a demonstrated financial need, exceptional academic records, and a commitment to community service.

Michael Kubiak and Sean Francis McCloskey Scholarship Fund

This scholarship is open to all incoming freshmen (accepted for the 2019-2020 school year), current freshmen, sophomores, and juniors currently enrolled. This is a one-time, $2,500 scholarship paid directly to the school in the recipient’s name, to be used for tuition costs only.

Monsignor John T. Mitchell Trust Scholarship

Monsignor John T. Mitchell Trust Scholarship

The Monsignor John T. Mitchell Memorial Scholarship Fund supports Catholic African American students with exceptional academic ability who are in need of financial assistance. Scholarship(s) are awarded annually based upon the determination of the selection committee.

For this scholarship, students must be:

  • Catholic and African American
  • in good academic standing with at least a cumulative B average at the time of the scholarship award
  • eligible for financial assistance as determined by a completed FACTS Grant and Aid application (online)
  • committed to serving his/her community
  • interested in or currently attending an AOPS high school

Montgomery Scholarship Application 2019

The Shane Montgomery Scholarship Fund was established to support students of Roman Catholic High School in achieving a quality education by offering financial assistance. Applicants must demonstrate financial need and be active in the Roman community. Specifically, scholarships will be awarded to students who have experienced an event which has strongly impacted their life and may have impeded on the applicant’s ability to meet their financial obligations.

Sean P. Miller Scholarship Fund

The purpose of the Sean P. Miller Scholarship is to provide scholarships to students who display the character and spirit that embodies the teachings of the Catholic Education. This scholarship is in memory of Sean P. Miler who graduated from Northeast Catholic High School Class of 1998. The applicant must be a student attending Catholic High School and displays the character and spirit needed to succeed in a Catholic High School.

St. Thomas More Alumni Scholarship

St. Thomas More Alumni Scholarship

The St. Thomas More Alumni Scholarship provides tuition assistance to students who are related to or recommended by a St. Thomas More alumnus. To be considered for this award, students must be active in school, sports, or church activities, have a strong academic record, and participate in community service.
