AMBASSADORS

Attention all Ambassadors! We will be having our meeting today, December 18th after school in the Information Center. Please make all efforts to attend this mandatory meeting. If you have any questions, please see Mr. McAndrew. 

 

BLACK STUDENT UNION

Members, please be sure to check your email about today's "Feed the Homeless" project.  All members are welcome to meet in the cafeteria after 8th period for this service project.  If you have a free 8th – please come to the cafeteria to make sandwiches.  If you want to join the Black Student Union, please see Mr. Rad, Ade Forrest, or Haalim Tucker-Boone.  

 

COMPUTER AUTOMATED DESIGN

Are you interested in Computer Automated Design? Are you interested in 3 Dimensional printing? Then come to the Info Center computer lab for a 20 minute introduction at 2:55 today, December 18th.  Space is limited to the first 20 students to arrive. But don't worry; we will have another session again soon.

 

ENVIRONMENTAL CLUB

The next environmental club meeting will be Tuesday, January 7th in Room 44 after school.  All are welcome to join the club and help Roman GO GREEN!  If you cannot make the meeting, but want to join the club - see Mr. Rad. 

 

LOST AND FOUND

Once again, the Lost and Found Bin is out of control!  We have hoodies, coats, lunch bags, hats, eye glasses and one school shoe that is shoe lace less.  No questions will be asked if you claim this one school shoe without a lace, just come get it!  The last day for the Lost and Found Department to be open will be on Friday, December 20th

 

 

MARCH FOR LIFE

There will be a March for Life meeting in Room 24 after school today.

 

SADD

SADD will hold its last pretzel sale of the year tomorrow before homeroom and during lunch periods tomorrow.  Santa knows that everyone on his “nice” list buys pretzels!

 

STUDENT COUNCIL

Student Council will sponsor a FREE Ugly Christmas Sweater and Sock day this Thursday.  You may wear an Ugly Sweater or Christmas Socks instead of your normal school sweater and school socks.  The top 3 homerooms with the highest percentage of participation will receive munchkins and candy canes on Friday.  Student Council will also sponsor a RED AND GREEN Christmas Dress Down Day on Friday, December 20.  Dress Down passes will be sold for $1 during all lunch periods today and Thursday.

 

SUPER SMASH BROS. TOURNAMENT

TAP eSports is proud to announce our first Super Smash Brothers Ultimate Tournament in collaboration with BSD Education. The tournament will be held at the String Theory School located at 1600 Vine St, Philadelphia, PA 19102 on 12/21/19 from 10:00AM to 6:00PM. We

will be running a Singles event where players will be competing for a prize pool of $1000.

TABLE TENNIS  ANYONE?

Roman's tennis team will host a Christmas Open Ping Pong Tournament tomorrow, 12/19 after 8th outside the Information Center/Library.

Any Roman student interested in playing in the tournament is welcome to sign up.  Each player will be guaranteed 2 games and winners will advance in the brackets all the way to a championship game.

See Mr. Shanahan in Room 61 to sign up.  That's tomorrow after 8th.  Tennis season is getting closer!

 

BOWLING

The bowling team yesterday took on St. Joe’s Prep at Prep bowl.  Varity won 4 out of 4, and JV won 1 out 4.  The high bowler for the varsity squad was Dave Trimber with a 215 game and high series of 507. High bowler for JV was Augustus Sroka with a 150 game.  The team travels to Thunderbird Lanes in Warminster to take on LaSalle on Thursday.

 

 

 

WORLD AFFAIRS

On Thursday December 19, World Affairs will be holding a brief meeting for all those interested in participating in the Academic WorldQuest completion in Room 46.  See Mr. McAndrew or Mr. Flannery with questions.
