Beginning with the 2012-2013 school year, Roman Catholic High School is excited to announce the implementation of a 1:1 iPad initiative, starting with the incoming freshmen. Because of the ever-changing face of education, students today require different tools and strategies that were not available a decade ago. The 1:1 iPad initiative will allow students and teachers to individualize and differentiate instruction in a way that is familiar to students, while still working on essential 21st century skill sets needed to meet state and national standards.
By providing new, innovative ways for students to access course information, the iPad will directly contribute to effective learning experiences. This affords students an opportunity to instantly access visual and text information while incorporating instructional technology in a fun, exploratory way. Additionally, access to iPads enables educators to deliver a customized, real-time curriculum and personalized instruction tailored to meet their students’ needs.
Roman Catholic High School is committed to providing a quality education to its students. In order to achieve this, the school has made certain that its educational programs remain fresh and on the cutting edge of technology. This is also why Roman Catholic has added 40 wireless access points to the school. By doing this, every area of the school, including McSherry Hall has wireless access to the internet.
