Summer Reading 2010
This summer we will be instituting a new procedure for our summer reading assignments. Every student will have the option of choosing one of two books designated for his particular grade. These books will not be subject specific and were chosen with hope that our young men will enjoy reading them. Every upperclassman will be responsible for reading one of these books and taking part in four discussion questions which will be posted on our Ning, (cahillite.ning.com)siteby a faculty moderator. Ning is a social networking site, used by thousands of high schools throughout the country, which allows students to take part in discussions and publish their opinions and ideas. Ning is similar to Facebook in format but is controlled and monitored by the RCHS administration. All assignments must be completed by the first day of school. Any student who fails to do so will be assigned academic detention on Friday until all work is completed.
